Sicilian Almond Pasticcini

Often also referred to as soft Amaretti, these moreish soft-heart cookies consist of three simple ingredients: almond, egg and sugar. We make our own almond paste or 'pasta di mandorla' to bring you the true flavours of these celebration cookies. Wedding, birthday or christening -Sicilian Almond Pasticcini or Amaretti have always been a must in Italian tradition.

The word 'Amaretto' comes from 'bitter almonds' which are traditionally extracted from apricot kernels to give Amaretto cookies their distinct flavour.
